WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., Feb. 4, 2014 – Chatsworth Products (CPI) recently expanded its eConnect® line of intelligent power distribution units (PDUs) to include high-density PDUs in 50A and 60A 208V that meet power loads of up to 17kW per PDU.
This new addition addresses the growing industrywide demand for High Performance Computing (HPC), virtualization and cloud computing. High-density eConnect PDUs with six built-in circuit breakers are also the answer to customers predicting two- to three-year power growth deploying blade servers, network switches and cabinets with over 30 servers.
Additionally, CPI added new features to all eConnect models. Engineered to withstand the heat loads of any hot aisle environment, eConnect PDUs have the highest ambient temperature rating in the market (149°F/65°C).
Other features include:
- PDU linking or IP consolidation up to 20 PDUs
- Input line and outlet amperage on local display and web interface
- Back-up master PDU for daisy chaining
- Smart daisy chaining sorting
CPI has developed two rich, highly functional and user-friendly tools to help customers select the right PDU for their needs.
The eConnect Software Demo interface links to eConnect PDUs installed in CPI’s Research, Development and Training Facility in Georgetown, Texas. This demo allows users to interact with each PDU model and learn about individual features, including:
• Setting alarm thresholds
• Exploring daisy-chained PDUs
• Creating a group of outlets
• Navigating through monitoring, settings and administration pages
More details can be found on the eConnect Software Demo page.
The eConnect PDU Product Selector allows customers to compare up to four PDUs at once. Customers can make their selections based on product type, input voltage, input power range, outlet type and more. Try the eConnect PDU Product Selector now.
Save time and make deploying equipment power even easier by using CPI’s Product Configurator to order F-Series TeraFrame® Gen 3 and GF-Series GlobalFrame® Gen 2 Cabinet Systems with eConnect PDUs pre-installed.
