State-of-the-Art Research Laboratory and Manufacturing Facility Reflects Company’s Focus on Intelligent Hardware and Software
AGOURA HILLS, Calif., May 9, 2019 — Chatsworth Products (CPI)—a provider of high-quality information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure products such as server racks, cable and power management, and electrical enclosures—is pleased to announce the opening of its new Electronics & Software Technology Center, located in Round Rock, Texas.
The state-of-the-art, 34,000 square foot facility will allow CPI to have a dedicated location for the research, development, testing and manufacturing of the company's intelligent power management solutions.
“We’re aggressively investing in our Electronics and Software business unit to innovate industry-leading power solutions at competitive lead times to meet the scale-out demands of our customers’ IT infrastructure. The Electronics & Software Technology Center will provide the manufacturing footprint for CPI to support the anticipated growth rates over the next five years,” says Ted Behrens, CPI’s Executive Vice President of Global Engineering, Product Management and Marketing.
As of April 2019, CPI has relocated its Power Distribution Unit (PDU) manufacturing equipment from the Research and Development Technology (RD&T) Center in Georgetown, Texas, to the Electronics & Software Technology Center. Moving forward, CPI’s power and electronics engineering, operations and quality assurance teams will also work in the new Round Rock facility.
CPI’s work in power began in 1998, when the company moved forward with its mission to provide a complete solution to not only organize and store IT equipment, but also deliver reliable power to the equipment. Since then, CPI has been committed to providing advanced power products to solve critical data center applications.
