Latest Addition to CPI’s Full Line of Grounding, Bonding Products

Two-Post Standard Rack with Integrated GroundingWESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., Jan. 26, 2015 — Chatsworth Products’ (CPI) full line of rack and cabinet systems now include integrated grounding features, including the 6”D Standard Rack, the latest addition to receive this enhancement.

CPI’s comprehensive line of UL® Listed grounding and bonding products ensure that today’s high-speed cabling systems are safely designed and installed according to standard compliance and industry best practices.

Designed in response to the increase in newer, highly integrated and more sensitive electronic equipment, CPI’s grounding and bonding products prevent transient voltage from damaging sensitive electronic equipment and provide ease of assembly and installation for customers.

Sam Rodriguez, CPI’s Product Manager of Cabinet & Thermal Solutions, stated, “CPI added the integrated grounding features to insure proper grounding and bonding, while minimizing time to deploy by preparing the bonding surface at the factory. The new design does not consume any RMU space in the rack footprint, allowing full utilization for equipment. This change results in faster installation times, less preparation and cleanup time and maintains the most efficient use of RMU space.”

In addition to the 6”D Standard Rack, CPI’s Two-Post Standard Rack, Universal Rack, Adjustable QuadraRack™ & ServerRack, Adjustable Rail QuadraRack & ServerRack, F-Series TeraFrame® Gen 3, GF-Series GlobalFrame® Gen 2 and N-Series TeraFrame Gen 3 Network Cabinets feature integrated grounding and bonding. The components of the rack or cabinet frame are bonded during assembly, and there is a single prepared location for attaching the rack or cabinet to the telecommunications ground.
