WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. – Chatsworth Products, Inc. (CPI) will continue its goal of providing advanced cost-effective products and solutions for data centers at the 2013 AFCOM Data Center World Conference and Expo, April 28 – May 2, at Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas.
CPI Global Technology Manager, Ian Seaton, will be presenting the seminar, “Architecture vs. Airflow: How Containment Strategies Stack Up to Facilities’ Challenges,” to settle the debate on which containment is most efficient and what factors affect efficiency. Seaton states, “The debate has finally been addressed in a scientific study that found no efficiency advantage for one form over another. Therefore, a decision regarding containment choice can rest on other architectural and business variables.” The seminar will take place Tuesday, April 30, from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
In addition to the presentation, CPI will exhibit a wide range of products and solutions in the exhibit hall. Attendees will experience hands-on interaction with a Cold Aisle Containment Solution (CAC), which combines the Cabinet Supported Ceiling Panel Kit, Aisle Containment Door Assemblies and Cabinet To Floor Seal Kits to confine cold air supply to an entirely closed off area, targeted at cooling IT equipment, instead of a room.
Also on display will be eConnect Power Distribution Units (PDUs). There are five models of PDUs: Basic, Monitored, Monitored Pro, Switched and Switched Pro. Each model includes numerous voltage and outlet options, quick and easy deployment, an ambient temperature rating that can support any HAC solution and a low-profile design that easily integrates into a cabinet’s Zero U space.
Additionally, CPI will present their new Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) products from GE Critical Power. These products provide critical power protection for small to mid-size server, data storage, networking, telecom, point of sales and office applications. There are four single-phase UPS models that are available based on level of protection, power availability and type of installation: IT Series, VH Series, GT Series and LP-11U Series.
Another new addition to the line-up will feature CPI’s Mini Modular Data Centers, which are scalable and mobile, allowing the ability to deploy computing capacity for high-density applications quickly. They are space and energy efficient, provide a safe and well-protected environment and manage power consumption.
