CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Chatsworth Products, Inc. (CPI), a 100% employee-owned leading manufacturer of structural support systems for technology equipment, announces the availability of the new Universal Horizontal Cable Manager. With the Universal Horizontal Cable Manager, use of different horizontal managers to manage patch cords vs multi-media cable is no longer required. The new Cable Manager provides a horizontal pathway for cable from .187"D UTP cable to .40" D coaxial cable.

In addition to providing an attractive and highly functional horizontal pathway for patch cords and cables, the extra-wide and contoured plastic cable guides of the Universal Horizontal Cable Manager create a pathway for neatly fanning the patch cords from the patch panels and routing them to the sides of the rack. Cable guides are offset 1.3" from the front of the rack to ensure proper bending radii of patch cables-even hooded patch cables. Patch cords may also be routed to the back of the rack through the flanged pass-through slot. After cables or patch cords have been routed, a hinged cover snaps on for a clean, professional appearance. The cover attaches to a cable manager with "snap on" clips for sturdy, easy installation and removal, and opens 180° in up or down position so that cables can be accessed without removing the cover (cover may be easily removed when required). The cover has a black powder coat wrinkle finish to minimize fingerprints, scratches and smudges. The Universal Horizontal Cable Guide is available in two RMU (3.5") and three RMU (5.25") heights for 19" or 23" wide racks (self-support or wall racks) and cabinets.
